A brief technical workshop on the application of the Circular Economy approach where innovation drivers and stakeholders may meet together.
GreenPack project focuses on the production of fully recyclable 100% PET trays for food packaging with oxygen barrier properties. The target is a mono-material fully-transparent sheet which can be used to produce food trays by thermoforming. The project aims to use also recycled PET (RPET) from bottles and from the same active trays. There are two main goals. The first goal is acquiring scientific knowledge and technical ability to develop active formulations and sheets for industrial uses. The second goal is showing that a circular approach is possible for barrier food trays without affecting PET bottle recycling.
